Utilizing state-of-the-art techniques, we work directly with architects and designers to manufacture custom signage systems, fabricated to exacting specifications, which enhance the overall appearance of their projects.

Our line of glass signage, Elegant Touch™ has been around in different forms since the mid-1980s. It began when glass signs emerged as an alternative, high-end material for architectural signs. Initially, it was called Touchline, and was produced as a separate product line within Sachs Lawlor, a Denver-based sign company. It was also sometimes loosely knows as "Sachs Lawlor Glass." Having been marketed locally at first, it was introduced on a national scale in 1990 at the National Electric Sign Association annual convention.

In 1996, the product line was changed from Touchline to Elegant Touch™. This was done to emphasize the beauty and high quality of the product as well as its capability to satisfy the Braille requirements of the ADA. The new name was introduced at the 1996 Society for Environmental Graphic Designers annual convention.

In 2001, Michael Corrigan purchased Elegant Touch™ from Sachs Lawlor and set it up as a stand-alone company. Having been in the sign industry since 1992, Michael appreciated the unique qualities of Elegant Touch™ glass, as well as admiring the craftsmen that produced it. He has highly enjoyed working with this group ever since.

In all work, Communication Industries maintains continuity of image through the consistent use of quality signage materials, color and typography, so that the standard product line offers the look of custom signage.
